WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Capitals released tickets for their viewing party at Capital One Arena for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. In a matter of minutes, they were gone.
The Caps, now requiring tickets to get inside the arena, put the tickets up for free on TicketMaster at 1 PM.
At 1:20, the Capitals announced on Twitter that no tickets were available.
Tickets to the Viewing Party are SOLD OUT. Reminder: There will also be an outdoor viewing party with video boards positioned on G Street NW at 8th St. No tickets required. More Info: https://t.co/x2IXfzpRmM#ALLCAPS #StanleyCup https://t.co/5zETADnas1

Some people lucky enough to get in are now selling their tickets online: https://ebay.to/2JvU0hk
Some fans are not happy about it, while others are still trying to get in.
People who are reselling the FREE caps viewing party tickets are the worst types of people in this city.

This whole viewing party ticket thing is a fiasco. Just shut down a few blocks outside and throw some big screens outside of the arena like games 3 & 4. The mystics ticket idea was an abomination.

However, not all hope is lost. Fans will still be able to watch the game from outside the arena on large video boards.
